Raiden Shogun Build Guide

Raiden Shogun is often misunderstood as just a burst DPS, but her real value comes from being an energy cycle engine for the entire team. When building her, the single most important stat is Energy Recharge - not just because her burst needs energy, but because her A4 passive converts every point of ER above 100% into Electro DMG Bonus. At 270% ER (achievable with Engulfing Lightning and ER sands), she gains 68% Electro DMG from this passive alone, plus another 60%+ from the Emblem of Severed Fate set bonus. In combat, the key to maximizing Raiden is rotation discipline. The standard setup is Raiden E -> support bursts -> Raiden Q -> N3C combo. Her skill (E) provides coordinated attacks that boost burst damage for all party members. Never use her burst first - always apply buffs from Bennett, Sara, or Kazuha before switching to Raiden. Raiden National (Raiden + Xiangling + Xingqiu + Bennett) is the most consistent team in the game because everyone batteries everyone else. Xiangling and Xingqiu get energy from Raiden, and Raiden gets resolve stacks from their bursts. This creates a seamless energy loop that requires minimal ER on supports. Where she struggles: Raiden underperforms in quick-swap teams that dont rely on burst rotations, or against enemies that move out of her burst range frequently. Against multi-wave content, her energy refund mechanic becomes less valuable because waves reset rotation cycles.
