Best Genshin Impact Artifact Sets

The artifact sets worth farming in 2026, who each one is best for, and the caveats that decide whether a set is actually an upgrade. 21 sets covered.

Main stat beats set bonus

Before chasing a four-piece bonus, make sure your main stats are correct. A correct main stat with an off-set piece almost always outperforms the wrong main stat with a completed set. Farm the set bonus last, not first.

Emblem of Severed Fate

Best for: Raiden Shogun, Xingqiu, Xiangling, Yelan, Beidou

Converts Energy Recharge directly into burst damage. Any character whose damage comes from their burst wants this set.

Watch out: Useless on characters whose damage comes from normal attacks or skills instead of their burst.

Blizzard Strayer

Best for: Ayaka, Ganyu, Kaeya, Wriothesley

Up to 40% free CRIT Rate against Cryo-affected or frozen enemies, which lets Cryo carries stack CRIT DMG instead.

Watch out: The CRIT Rate disappears entirely against enemies that cannot be frozen or Cryo-affected.

Viridescent Venerer

Best for: Kazuha, Sucrose, Venti, Jean, Sayu

40% Elemental RES shred for the swirled element — still the strongest four-piece support effect in the game.

Watch out: Only shreds the element that is swirled, so it provides nothing for Physical or mono-element teams.

Deepwood Memories

Best for: Nahida, Baizhu, Collei, Kirara

30% Dendro RES shred, which multiplies the damage of every Dendro reaction in the team.

Watch out: Only one character in the team needs it — stacking it twice does nothing extra.

Gilded Dreams

Best for: Alhaitham, Cyno, Tighnari, Kuki Shinobu

Large Elemental Mastery plus ATK depending on team composition — the best set for reaction-based Dendro and Electro DPS.

Watch out: Its value depends on your team's element count, so the bonus can drop in mono-element teams.

Flower of Paradise Lost

Best for: Kuki Shinobu, Raiden Shogun (Hyperbloom), Thoma (Burgeon)

Directly increases Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon damage — the only set that boosts transformative reaction damage this much.

Watch out: Only useful on the character that actually triggers the reaction, not on the enablers.

Golden Troupe

Best for: Furina, Yae Miko, Fischl, Albedo

Up to 70% skill damage bonus for characters who stay off-field — the best set for turret-style sub-DPS.

Watch out: The bonus disappears when the character is on field, so it does nothing for on-field carries.

Marechaussee Hunter

Best for: Neuvillette, Hu Tao, Lyney, Wriothesley

Up to 36% CRIT Rate when HP changes, which pairs perfectly with carries whose kits drain or restore their own HP.

Watch out: Requires frequent HP changes to keep the stacks — teams with a shielder and no HP fluctuation lose most of it.

Obsidian Codex

Best for: Mavuika, Kinich, Chasca, Ororon

Up to 40% CRIT Rate for Nightsoul users, which lets Natlan carries stack CRIT DMG almost exclusively.

Watch out: Only works while Nightsoul's Blessing is active, so it is worthless on characters outside the Natlan kits.

Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy

Best for: Arlecchino, Clorinde

Ties Bond of Life changes directly into damage bonus — the highest ceiling for Bond of Life carries.

Watch out: Only functions for characters with Bond of Life mechanics; everyone else gets nothing from it.

Husk of Opulent Dreams

Best for: Itto, Albedo, Noelle, Chiori

DEF% plus Geo DMG that stacks while off-field — the best set for DEF-scaling Geo units.

Watch out: The stacks decay on field, so on-field DEF carries need time to ramp up each rotation.

Tenacity of the Millelith

Best for: Zhongli, Kokomi, Layla, Dehya

HP% plus a team ATK buff and shield strength — the default support set for HP-scaling defenders.

Watch out: The team buff requires the wielder's skill to hit an enemy, which can be unreliable against mobile bosses.

Noblesse Oblige

Best for: Bennett, Shenhe, Faruzan, Gorou

20% team ATK buff after using a burst — the most universal support effect available.

Watch out: Does not stack with another Noblesse user in the same team, so only one character should hold it.

Crimson Witch of Flames

Best for: Hu Tao, Diluc, Yanfei, Arlecchino (alternative)

Pyro DMG plus stacking reaction damage — still the strongest Pyro set for Vaporize and Overload carries.

Watch out: Largely replaced by Harmonic Whimsy or Marechaussee Hunter on the newest Pyro carries.

Shimenawa's Reminiscence

Best for: Yoimiya, Hu Tao (alternative), Ganyu (Melt)

Large normal, charged, and plunging attack bonus at the cost of energy — perfect for carries who do not rely on their burst.

Watch out: Drains 15 energy on cast, which can break rotations for burst-dependent characters.

Vermillion Hereafter

Best for: Xiao

ATK bonus that ramps during the burst — the only four-piece set tuned specifically for Xiao's plunge playstyle.

Watch out: Very few other characters can maintain the stacks, so it is effectively a Xiao-only set.

Thundering Fury

Best for: Cyno, Keqing, Raiden (Aggravate), Fischl

Electro DMG plus reaction cooldown reduction, which lets Electro carries weave more skills per rotation.

Watch out: The cooldown reduction only matters for characters who actively trigger Electro reactions.

Ocean-Hued Clam

Best for: Kokomi, Qiqi, Barbara

Converts healing into a physical damage bubble — turns pure healers into secondary damage dealers.

Watch out: Capped by healing output, so it falls off in teams that take little damage.

Pale Flame

Best for: Eula, Hu Tao, Yoimiya, Diluc, Freminet

Physical DMG plus a stacking ATK buff after using the skill — the best set for Physical carries.

Watch out: Only useful on Physical-scaling characters; wasted on everyone else.

Song of Days Past

Best for: Sigewinne, Kokomi, Charlotte, healing buffers

Converts outgoing healing into a team damage bonus — turns pure healers into support DPS.

Watch out: The damage bonus scales with healing, so it falls off on low-damage teams.

Unfinished Reverie

Best for: Emilie, burning-team Dendro DPS

Dendro DMG plus a stacking damage bonus after applying burning — built for Emilie's kit.

Watch out: Requires a burning team to trigger the stacks, so it is effectively Emilie-specific.

Verdict

If you are not sure what to farm, Emblem of Severed Fate and Golden Troupe are the two most universally useful sets in the game — between them they cover most burst DPS and off-field sub-DPS characters. Farm one, then move to the specialist sets your favourite carry needs.
