Neuvillette Build Guide

Neuvillette is the most comfortable hypercarry. His charged attack hits in a line, heals himself, and he's almost unkillable.

Why This Build Works

CA beam scales purely on HP — his damage doesn't depend on reaction uptime. A1 passive boosts CA damage by 110% on three different Hydro reactions.

Key Stat Threshold

HP 40k+. ER 110-120% solo, 100% with Furina.

Current Meta Status

Top 3 DPS. Self-heal makes him extremely comfortable with Furina teams.

Gameplay Strategy

Neuvillette functions best as a Main DPS. The key to mastering this character is understanding how their kit interacts with the current abyss meta. Below are the critical gameplay patterns you need to know.

Rotation Tips

E (Skill) → Q (Burst) → CA (Charged Attack) beam until empty

Team Synergy

On-field hypercarry — charged attack beam with self-heal. In practice, this means pairing them with characters that complement their strengths and cover their weaknesses.

Build Comparison: Entry vs Endgame

Neuvillette is the most comfortable hypercarry. His charged attack hits in a line, heals himself, and he's almost unkillable. With the right investment, Neuvillette performs at a 9.5/10 — top 3 DPS in the game, extremely easy to play. level in current content.

When NOT to use this character

Extremely vulnerable to interruption during CA without shield or Baizhu. Struggles against spread-out enemies. His linear beam AoE is wasted on scattered targets.

Community Controversy

Community divided on Neuvillette vs Ayato. Neuvillette wins raw damage; Ayato offers more team flexibility. Which is 'better' depends on account needs.

In-Depth Guide

Neuvillette is unique among Genshin DPS characters because his damage does not depend on elemental reactions at all. His charged attack beam scales purely on HP (40,000+ is the target), ignoring ATK completely. This means his damage is consistent regardless of enemy elements - he performs equally well against Hydro slimes and Pyro regisvines. His key mechanic is the Sourcewater Droplet system. Using his E skill creates 6 droplets, and his Q creates 6 more. Collecting 3 droplets reduces his charged attack charge time to nearly instant. The optimal rotation is: E -> Q -> CA (with 3 droplets) -> wait for E cooldown -> collect remaining droplets -> CA again. The most common mistake is not managing droplet collection properly. Each CA needs exactly 3 droplets for instant charge. Picking up more than 3 wastes battery potential for the next CA cycle. Neuvillettes best team is with Furina - his self-healing from CA triggers Furinas fanfare stacks, and Furinas buff dramatically increases his damage. The rotation with this team requires dropping his CA early if the team needs healing, even if it means slightly less personal damage. Where he struggles: Neuvillette is extremely vulnerable to interruption. Without a shield (Zhongli) or interrupt resistance (Baizhu), getting hit during the CA beam wastes significant DPS. His linear beam AoE is also wasted against spread-out enemies.
