Kirara is the Dendro shielder, and the trade she makes against Zhongli is the whole reason to use her: she gives up universal RES shred and raw shield strength in exchange for Dendro application, Dendro resonance, and a shield that stacks on top of itself. Her skill (Meow-teor Kick) creates a Shield of Safe Transport whose absorption scales with her Max HP and absorbs Dendro damage at 250% effectiveness. The useful trick is that recasting before the old shield breaks adds its remaining absorption to the new one and resets the 12s duration, so refreshing early is strictly better than waiting. Holding the skill turns her into the Urgent Neko Parcel box for up to 10s: movement, climbing and jumping all improve at the cost of much higher climbing stamina drain, she rams enemies for Dendro damage, and the state ends in a stronger Flipclaw Strike. Her first ascension passive grants a stack of Reinforced Packaging for each enemy she rams, and each stack becomes an extra partial shield when the state ends. Her burst (Secret Art: Surprise Dispatch, 60 energy, 15s cooldown) hurls a package that explodes for AoE Dendro damage and scatters Cat Grass Cardamom mines that detonate on contact or after a delay. Her C4 is the constellation that changes her role: it lets the shielded active character trigger coordinated Dendro attacks, finally giving her reliable off-field Dendro application. Build HP in every slot, because shield strength scales with Max HP and her fourth ascension passive adds a small amount of skill and burst damage per 1,000 HP. Aim for roughly 45,000-55,000 HP, with around 120-150% ER if you want the burst every rotation, which matters more for Dendro application than for damage. Deepwood Memories is the default set when she is the team's only Dendro unit, since it makes her the shredder and the shielder at once; 2pc Vourukasha's Glow plus 2pc Tenacity of the Millelith maximizes the shield, and Instructor works in reaction teams. Key of Khaj-Nisut is her best weapon because its HP% also converts into team Elemental Mastery, which is exactly what Bloom and Aggravate teams want. Favonius Sword and Sapwood Blade are the practical alternatives. She fits Nilou Bloom, where the shield absorbs Bloom self-damage, and Quicken or Aggravate cores built around Alhaitham, Nahida, Keqing or Clorinde. Where she struggles: against Zhongli she absorbs less, shreds nothing, and her 250% Dendro bonus is nearly irrelevant outside Dendro content. Her shield protects only the active character, her off-field Dendro application is locked behind C4, her burst has a long animation and its mines miss mobile enemies, and the box state costs both field time and stamina inside a rotation.
