Gaming is a plunge-attack Pyro carry who pays HP for damage and heals it back himself. That self-sustaining loop - not his multipliers - is what makes him playable without a healer, and it puts him closer in feel to Xiao than to Hu Tao. His skill (Bestial Ascent) pounces forward and launches him into the air, after which his plunge becomes Charmed Cloudstrider: Pyro damage that cannot be overridden by any infusion, counted as Plunging Attack damage, and it costs him a fixed slice of his Max HP on landing without ever dropping him below 10%. His first ascension passive returns a little HP whenever that plunge connects, and his fourth ascension passive gives the plunge 20% more damage while he is above 50% HP and increased incoming healing while he is below it. The rule is simple: stay above half HP and let his own kit top him up. His burst (Suanni's Gilded Dance, 60 energy, 15s cooldown) heals him for a large chunk of Max HP, enters Wushou Stance with interruption resistance, and sends out Man Chai, which smashes into the target for AoE Pyro damage. When Man Chai returns to him it resets his skill cooldown, so the burst is both damage and the enabler for another round of plunges. Because he drains his own HP on every plunge, he triggers HP-fluctuation gear by himself: Marechaussee Hunter stacks without Furina, and with Furina he both feeds her Fanfare and keeps his HP swinging. Crimson Witch of Flames is the alternative for pure Vaporize. Run a Pyro DMG goblet and CRIT circlet; ATK% is the usual Sands, though an EM Sands is competitive in Vaporize teams because most of his damage comes from a few very large reacted plunges. His ER needs are moderate, roughly 140-160%, and his C4 refunds energy on plunge hits. His best teams are Vaporize with Xingqiu or Yelan plus Bennett, with the fourth slot going to Kazuha, Sucrose or ideally Xianyun, who buffs plunge damage directly. Furina variants and Chevreuse Overload are the other directions. Serpent Spine and Beacon of the Reed Sea are his best claymores, with the caveat that Serpent Spine's stacks are harder to keep while he is self-damaging. Where he struggles: Hu Tao still has a much higher single-target ceiling, and Gaming's plunges are AoE-oriented, so his boss damage falls behind. A plunge lands at a fixed point, so mobile enemies and knockbacks cause whiffs - and a missed plunge still costs him HP. He also applies a lot of Pyro at once, so with only one Hydro applier some plunges land on a Pyro aura and produce no reaction or the weaker reverse Vaporize.
