Why This Build Works

Burst (80 energy) gives party-wide healing plus on-field regen, while Hold-Skill applies Cryo off-field; C2 adds a team ATK buff in the Newsflash Field. Prototype Amber or Favonius Codex ease her heavy ER need and her healing scales on ATK.

Key Stat Threshold

ER 180-250% solo (160-200% double Cryo, 150-180% triple); ATK% Goblet / Healing Bonus circlet, ~60% CRIT if running Favonius Codex.

Current Meta Status

B-tier Cryo healer valued in Freeze and Furina teams that convert healing into damage; reliable 4-star sustain but not a top DPS in 5.x/6.x.

Entry vs Endgame Build

Entry Level Build
Prototype Amber (craftable) / Thrilling Tales

Focus on main stat correctness. Set bonuses matter less than having correct main stats.

Endgame Build
Skyward Atlas

Optimize substats for perfect ratio. Sacrifice HP/DEF for more offensive stats.

Summary: Is Charlotte Worth Building?

Charlotte provides Cryo healing and off-field application, fitting freeze team compositions. With the right investment, Charlotte performs at a 6/10 level in current content.

When NOT to use this character

Very high ER demand and negligible personal damage; outclassed by Kokomi/Sigewinne for healing and by Shenhe for Cryo buffing.

Community Controversy

Ocean-Hued Clam vs Noblesse Oblige vs Tenacity: Clam turns overheal into damage, Noblesse/ToM give team buffs; debated best support set for her.

In-Depth Guide

Charlotte is a team-wide healer who happens to be Cryo, and that combination - not her damage - is why she has a slot. Party-wide healing is rare among 4-stars, and it is exactly what Furina teams need to convert HP drain into Fanfare stacks. Her burst (Still Photo: Comprehensive Confirmation) is the whole package. It costs 80 energy, delivers a large instant heal to every party member scaled off her ATK, and then creates a Newsflash Field that keeps healing the active character while ticking Cryo damage to enemies inside it. Because the healing scales with ATK rather than HP, she wants ATK% and Healing Bonus, not HP% - a common building mistake. Her skill applies a Snappy Silhouette mark (tap) that ticks Cryo damage for a few seconds, or a longer and stronger Focused Impression mark if you hold to the Finisher Frame, at the cost of a much longer skill cooldown. Those mark ticks are her only off-field Cryo application, and they are also what let her hold Tenacity of the Millelith with reliable uptime. Her fourth ascension passive shifts her stats with the roster: each Fontaine character in the party increases her Healing Bonus, while each non-Fontaine character increases her Cryo DMG Bonus instead. Since her personal damage is negligible anyway, the practical reading is that her healing is strongest in Fontaine-heavy teams and slightly weaker in mixed ones. Energy is her real constraint. An 80-cost burst with modest particle generation usually needs somewhere in the 180-220% ER range at C0, which makes an ER Sands the default and Favonius Codex or Prototype Amber more valuable than raw ATK weapons - including Skyward Atlas, which is a strong ATK stat stick but solves none of her problems. Noblesse Oblige is the best all-round set, with Tenacity of the Millelith, Song of Days Past and Ocean-Hued Clam as alternatives. Her best homes are Furina teams as the team-wide sustain, and Freeze cores alongside Ayaka, Ganyu or Wriothesley, where she covers healing, Cryo resonance and battery duties in a single slot. Where she struggles: all of her healing is behind an 80-energy burst, so if the burst is not ready the team has no sustain at all. Her Cryo application is too slow to serve as the aura for a Pyro Melt carry, and her hold skill's longer cooldown desyncs from her 20s burst. As a pure sustain unit she also competes with supports that heal and buff at the same time, so in teams that do not need healing she contributes almost nothing.
